KUALA TERENGGANU: Terengganu police managed to solve 53 cases and made 17 arrests after the disclosure of the identities of 626 individuals wanted for various crimes in the state in stages beginning early this month.

Terengganu CID chief ACP Fazlisyam Abdul Majid said from Oct 1 until 10 (yesterday), the 17 suspects were arrested for various offences including rape, robbery and theft.

“The suspects are aged between 20 and 40. Police also seized four motorcycles involved in a motorcycle theft case in Kemaman on Oct 6.

“We hope that the people will help police in tracking them, especially fore motorcycle theft which is the highest contributor to the crime index in Terengganu,” he told reporters here today. -- Bernama
