BALING: Nine people, including a man with his 2-year-old daughter, were rounded up by the National Anti-Drugs Agency (Nada) during a drug raid on two villages here this morning.
Led by Baling Nada branch chief Arnida Ishak, the raid was held in Kampung Che Wan Jusoh and Kampung Parit Panjang beginning at 6am.
She said eight men were detained in Kampung Wan Jusoh, and one in Kampung Parit Panjang.
Arnida said all those arrested, aged between 19 and 60, tested positive for opium and methamphetamine.
She said the 27-year-old man with a young daughter was picked up at Kampung Wan Jusoh.
“When we stopped him, he claimed that he was taking his daughter sightseeing. However, he tested positive for opium,” she said in a statement.
All detainees were taken to the Baling branch office for further action.
