The Nissan NP300 Navara and current selling NISSAN models are not affected by the recall campaign extension.

EDARAN Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM), the sole distributor and assembler of Nissan vehicles in Malaysia, together with Tan Chong Ekspress Auto Servis Centre (TCEAS) has announced a recall campaign extension.

The campaign extension is for its customers to replace the front passenger airbag inflator module.

After investigation, approximately 98,216 units of Nissan vehicles have been identified for Takata front passenger airbag inflator replacement as stated below:

The Nissan NP300 Navara and current selling NISSAN models are not affected in this exercise.

Customers of the affected Nissan vehicles will be notified by letter through TCEAS and are advised to call the nearest TCEAS outlet for an appointment. Selected TCEAS outlets have extended its operation hours and they are now open 365 days. It is easier for customers to service their vehicles on weekends and public holidays, as well as to alleviate the capacities for the replacement activity.

All labour and replacement parts for this recall campaign will be at no cost to owners.
